Alexander Rehding is Fanny Peabody Professor of Music at Harvard University.[1][2] He received his B.A., M.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D. from Cambridge University, where he also held a research fellowship at Emmanuel College.[3] He held positions at the Penn Humanities Forum and the Princeton Society of Fellows before joining Harvard's Department of Music in 2003. Rehding is co-editor of Acta musicologica (with Philippe Vendrix).
In 2009 Rehding was awarded fellowships from the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation and the American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS).[4] He has also received support from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.
